This unique island, part of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark, offers breathtaking views and fascinating geological formations, making it a standout among Hong Kong's hiking trails.
P.S.: Although this guide focuses on "hiking in Po Pin Chau," it's essential to note that the actual hike takes place from the East Dam to a viewing platform on Fa Shan, which offers stunning views of Po Pin Chau. Historically, Po Pin Chau and Fa Shan were part of the same landmass. However, over time, relentless erosion by sea waves carved out a sea cave, eventually leading to the collapse of the connecting ridge and transforming Po Pin Chau into a standalone sea stack. Today, hikers can enjoy the breathtaking vistas of Po Pin Chau from the vantage point on Fa Shan, making this hike a unique experience that combines natural beauty with geological history.
